Spacecoast Thorny Devil (Kinnebrew,
2009) |
| 6 ” sev, rec, TET - This standout lily has been
a top performer for several years in our garden. An
adoring visitor suggested the name “Crown of
Thorns” and thus it has been called. We had always
planned to use this garden name, but turns out it
was used some years earlier. If you like teeth, this
one has plenty, some white and some of the gold
variety. With its dark red color, this lily has
really opened new doors in our toothy breeding
program. In our 2009 seedling field, we marked
several black reds with teeth. Fertile both ways,
this is a hybridizer’s special. Scapes are 24”,
carrying up to 18 buds.
