of gold edged daylilies out there. Color!! In
particular, the saturation of the base color, is what
can set a lily apart from the competition. This looker
is a rich black-red with a glowing chartreuse edge. This
decisive contrast in color is the prime selling factor.
Flowers are round, full, and ruffled with good substance
and texture. Although somewhat reluctant to set pods, it
is fertile both ways and proving to be valuable parent
for dark, rich colors. Scapes are 26”, strong and well
branched, holding up to 24 buds. |
