5 ¾”, sev, rec, TET – Based
on flower alone, one might not be thoroughly impressed
with this lily. It
is a pretty face with heavy ruffling and brilliant lemon
yellow color. However,
total performance sets this one apart from the rest.
First and foremost, its scape is
almost unbelievable.
Mike Longo, our 2006
release, is renowned for its incredible scape
and high bud count.
This offspring goes above and beyond those
levels. On
fully established plants, scapes tower 36” with
numerous lateral branches, carrying up to 50 buds or
better. There
have been days, in our garden, when we have counted as
many as 8 flowers open on a single scape.
That is “Performance”!!
In addition, strong plant habit and extreme pod
fertility shouldn’t be overlooked.
