11”, ev, rec, TET – June Williams was one of our very  dearest friends.  Without her guidance and contributions to our hybridizing program, we would certainly not be where we are today.  In her latter years, June was concentrating her personal breeding efforts on Tet-spider & Tet-spider variants.  She was determined to reach this goal without the use of any diploid conversions, using only Tets derived from the Bill Munson line.  She developed an outstanding seedling, but was taken from us before she could make it a registered cultivar.  We were allowed to grow this beauty and breed with it.  Although this area of hybridizing had not appealed to us before, we decided to jump in and follow up on June’s efforts.  This is the first of several releases from that seedling and we are very proud for it to carry June’s name.  This big, dark purple variant is a real standout in the garden.  Tall, well branched 36” scapes carry up to 24 buds.  Quick to increase and fertile, but not an easy pod set.
