6”, ev, rec, TET – Reds with gold edges are
still in “short supply” in the daylily market today. This burgundy-red with highly ornate golden border was
greatly admired and highly decorated during the past
year. Unhindered by its heavily ruffled edge, flowers open wide and
flat, even by first light.
Our longtime family friend, Willie Markus of
Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, chose this standout to carry
his name. Sinfully
fertile, this one is of great importance in edged red
breeding. Scapes are 24”, and nicely branched, carrying as many as 20
buds. Winner
of the Munson Hybridizers Bed at the Florida Spring
Regional at Tampa.
Also, winner of the “Achievement Metal” at
the Central Florida Show 2006.
